Postural sway refers to problems with coordinating body movement and not being able to balance properly.
It has been found that neurodivergent people tend to show signs of postural sway, where we have a hard time finding and keeping a sense of our center of gravity.
- It can lead to:
- coordinatory problems
- not being able to participate in physical activities
- higher rate of injuring yourself
- pain
This might be a direct explanation of why ADHD people tend to be clumsy.
