All parts of speech have emphatic accent, used to counteract anticipated objections.
“LEAVE-ME-A-LONE!”
Word repetition
A part of speech is repeated. Can have the effect of seeming childish or incompetent.
“VERY, VERY bad.”
Reinforcement
Seeking trust through lengthening the onset consonant of a stressed syllable.
“This is RRRRREAL-ly great!”
Positive intensification
Also on the stressed syllable but on the vowel.
“That’s a-MAAAAAZ-ing!”
