All really large-scale religions have rituals that people perform daily or at least once a week. We think this is one of the key differences between simply identifying with a group and being fused with a group.

I don’t think innate curiosity and desire to puzzle together the meaning of life explains religion. → He argues that religion is more-so a result of civilization and social bonding than of the desire to understand our purpose in life. However, there is no universal definition for the term religion. It’s not a “monolithic entity” but a conglomerate of features such as rituals and belief in supernatural actors.--- tags:
