Since blogs died, the internet has become a hellhole for all types of commercialised content creation. Everything is optimised for capitalism. Social media networks aren’t social, they are data mining operations which seek to pit people against each other.1
Digital garden are an antidote to the rush of information that is thrown at us, created for the purpose of pleasing the algorithm. It’s a get-together for like-minded people. People who care more about sharing what they enjoy and (want to) understand with others than selling their soul.
